First Eucharist Celebration Information
The First Eucharist children will sit together in the first two rows of the Church and will receive First Eucharist as a group. After the children receive the Sacrament the rest of the Church will receive Eucharist as usual.
Each Mass can fit a maximum of 32 families. Two (2) families will share a pew in the center section of the church that will be reserved seating for you. Extended family members and guests that do not fit in your half of the pew will sit in the rest of the Church, which is unreserved seating. There will be handicapped reserved seating available – these arrangements will be made at rehearsal.

First Communion Banner Information
We have a tradition of having the child work with their parents to create a First Communion Banner. This is placed on the pew that the family sits in. It is a special recognition of the family and should reflect the child’s perception of the Eucharist and/or symbols of the Eucharist.
Parents, please plan out the banner with your child. You don’t have to be an artist. Some of prior year’s students have shared photos of their banners with you for inspiration. You can view them in the link below. You can also find many communion banner ideas online. Just Google ‘communion banners’ to get started. You can also find templates for chalices and other symbols online.
We will provide the 12x18, off-white piece of fabric that will be the base of the banner. The banners look much better when they are consistent in size so please don’t alter the overall dimensions. We will also supply some felt material that can be used to make a chalice, host, and grapes. This material will be made available mid February
You will need letters (no greater than 2” size) to spell out your child’s first and last name on the banner and any other decorations you would like to add.
Please contact us if you have any questions.
